What's hiding behind the shapes? Is it a frog? Is it a gecko? No, it's a turtle!

Our new book What's Hiding Behind The Shapes was written to help teach toddlers and preschool children their shapes. This cute rhyming story is a fun way to capture your child's attention and to help to teach him shapes.

Circle, circle, pretty and blue I see something hiding behind you. When the children look at the page, they can see the circle and a head stick out from behind they circle. Right now it's pretty hard to tell which animal that head belongs too.

This is a good time to have the children guess what animal that they think is hiding behind the circle.

On the next page the children will see what animal it actually is. When you turn the page, point at the turtle and ask if anyone knows what animal that is? See how many children yell out "turtle". This is a good time to ask the children a few questions to get them thinking about turtles. Ask the children "Does a turle live in a tree?" Ask them silly questions such as does a turtle live in your tv? or Does a turtle live under your shoe? Where do you think a turtle lives?

Then read the page that the children are looking at. It's a turtle cute and green, he was hiding so he wouldn't be seen.

Square, square pretty and blue, I see something hiding behind you. When the children look at the page they will see a blue square with a head sticking out. Right now it's pretty hard to tell which animal that head belongs too. This is a good time to have them guess again.

After everyone is done guessing teacher can read the page. It's an egg. Let me peek, out popped a dinosaur, Squeak, squeak!

The shapes in the story are blue, this is a good time to point out the different shapes and the color blue throughout the story.
