The second week of November we start our fruit and vegetables lesson plans for toddlers and preschoolers. This story was written to go along with our fruit & veggie theme. We will read this story during our morning circle time.The fruits being shown in the story are grapes, apples, lemons, raspberries, pineapples, watermelon, pears, kiwis, oranges and blueberries .

Before you begin the story, you will need one piece of paper per child, and some circle stickers, these can be found at wal-mart in the office section or any office store. As you read the story to the children you will be asking them if they like rapes, apples, lemons,and the rest of the fruits in the story. If they like the fruit have them raise their hand and give them a circle sticker to put onto their paper. When the story is over have the children count how many circle stickers they have and teacher can write the number on their page, older children can try and copy writing the number that the teacher just wrote on their paper.

Print out the "Who likes fruit story" onto copy paper, then staple the pages together on the left hand side to make a book. This story is also a fun math activity. The story will ask the children to hold up their hands if they like the fruit and then teacher will count their hands, teacher can try to get the children to count along with her.
