Activity 1: Dinosaur Counting Chip Cards

Print out the large black and white teddy bear that has circles on it, print it onto cardstock paper, and glue on two googley eyes, put on a circle sticker for a nose and draw on a smile and then tape it to your magnetic board, metal door, metal pan, etc.

There are 10 pages of these cute dinosaur number cards. Each page has two number cards. Cut the cards apart to make 20 game cards. Fun hands on learning math activity, use with clothespins. Fun circle time activity to help children to focus on learning to count and match up numbers.

Activity 2: Dinosaur Cut & Paste Worksheets

These worksheets are for the younger preschoolers learning to count to number 4. These worksheets are good for children beginning to count and number recognition. There are 3 of these worksheets.

Print worksheets onto copy paper and teacher will need to cut out the 4 numbers on the bottom row and give them to the child/ren along with some paste or glue and have them glue the correct numbers into the boxes.

Teaches eye to hand co-ordination

Activity 6: Dinosaur Lacing

Print out the page onto heavy paper such as white cardstock paper. You will need a hand held hole punch and punch a few circles around the outside edge of the circle. You will need a thick piece of yarn and you may want to tie one end to one of the holes so the yarn doesn't get lost.

When using yarn there is always a chance of strangulation be sure the yarn isn't too long and supervise the children closely with this activity.

To make the yarn like a needle so the children can push it through the holes you will now need tape the other end of the yarn to make it sturdy to use like a needle. Show the children how to lace the yarn through the holes around the dinosaur.

This is a nice eye to hand coordination activity for preschoolers. Some other activities that offer this skill would be stringing beads, puzzles, cutting, nesting toys, pegs and peg boards (these are just a few) there are many other activities that offer eye to hand coordination.

Activity 7: Dinosaur – 12 Numbers In Circle

You will need 12 clothespins and white cardstock paper.

This activity can be printed out in black and white too and then color the dinosaur green.

This is a fun circle time activity game or can be used during math time or placed into your math area for children to do at a later time.

Print out the dinosaur card onto heavy paper such as white cardstock paper. This page can also be printed out in white only, the green dinosaur is also done in black and white if you want to print out the black and white page and then teacher can color the dinosaur.

You will need 10 clothespins. With a permanent marker teacher will need to write the number one onto one of the clothespins, repeat with numbers 2, 3, 4 up to number 12.

Activity 9: Square Match Up With Play Dough

Fun sensory activity using play dough, this activity works on skills using shapes and colors.

Same file as the number 8 activity, but it is a different activity.

Activity Activity 10: Dinosaur Color – Pompom Match Up

Match up pompoms to the dinosaurs by color, fine motor and sensory activity. This activity also works on teaching children their colors or if child knows their colors help him/her to review their colors.

Print out the dinosaurs onto heave paper such as white cardstock paper. There are 10 dinosaurs, (blue, yellow, white, red, green, purple, pink, brown, black and orange).

This activity can be printed out in black and white too, if you decide to print out the black and white dinosaurs you can print them onto white cardstock paper and then color the dinosaurs.

Activity 11: Dinosaur Number Puzzles

Print onto white cardstock paper, there are two puzzles on each page, cut the puzzles apart, so you end up with 12 puzzles. Laminate the cards or cover with clear contact paper to make them durable.

The numbers will need to be cut away from the dinosaurs, carefully cut apart on the dotted lines, then have the children count the dinosaurs and match up to the number.

For younger preschool children you may want to print out two sets and cut one set apart and leave the other set whole, place some dots of Velcro onto the front of the puzzle board and onto the backs of the puzzle pieces (in same spots) so they will stick together as child places them onto the puzzle board.

Print out all 12 dinosaurs and all 12 eggs onto heavy paper such as white cardstock paper.

Activity 13: Can You Help Mr. Dino Find The Yummy Leaves – Game

Print game onto white cardstock paper.

This is a fun game for preschool children. As they move around the game board they will collect leaves each time they land on a different colored leaf. This game will help them to count and teach them the colors green, red, orange, yellow and brown. At the end of the game they will give the leaves they collected to Mr. Dino the dinosaur.

Activity 14: Dinosaur Color Match Up
Print out the dinosaur color match up game cards and the matching dinosaur color cards onto white cardstock paper.

This is a fun color matching game for preschool children. We have two sets of game cards with 8 different colored dinosaurs and eight more dinosaur cards which are the same colors as the game board, the children will match up the dinosaur cards to the dinosaur game board by matching up the dinosaurs by color.

This activity can be printed out in black and white also and then color the dinosaurs 8 different colors on the game board and then color the 8 game cards the same colors as the dinosaurs on the game board so the children can match up the dinosaurs by matching up the same colors.

Activity 15: Dinosaur Worksheet Cut & Paste
Print out the dinosaur worksheet onto white copy paper. This worksheet has dinosaurs numbered 1 to 12.

This is a cut and paste worksheet with 12 dinosaurs and four of the dinosaurs missing. They are located at the bottom of the page, cut out the four dinosaurs and have the children glue them into the correct openings on the worksheet.

This printable preschool worksheet is a good learning tool for early childhood development of math skills and number awareness. This worksheet will help the children to count up to 12 and to locate the missing dinosaurs and glue them into the correct openings on the worksheet.

Print out the dinosaur number page onto white copy paper. This worksheet has numbers 5 through 9.

The children will color the numbers around the dinosaur different colors, such as all the number fives will be colored red, all the number sixes will be colored green, all the number 7's will be colored blue, all the number 8's will be colored yellow and all the number 9's will be colored brown.

This worksheet will help the children to become aware of the numbers on the page and to focus on finding the different numbers along with learning how to listen to and follow directions.

You will need to print out the 12 blue dinosaurs. This is a fun dinosaur game for the kids; they shake the cube die to see if they woke up one dinosaur, two dinosaurs or no dinosaurs. This game will help children to learn to count and having fun in a small group setting with other children playing a cooperative game. This game focuses on language skills, social skills, counting and numbers! This game is not only fun it's educational! Activity 21: How Many Dinosaurs?
These worksheets are for preschoolers learning to count to number 6. There are 4 of these worksheets. Print worksheets onto copy. Have the children count the dinosaurs and then look at the numbers under the dinosaur and circle the correct number. In addition to counting children will learn number recognition and problem solving skills. The numbers covered are from 1 to 6 so are primarily geared towards preschoolers and young children learning to count.

Print onto copy paper, you will need one per child. Have the children trace the numbers and color the dinosaur.

Print out the rhyme onto copy paper and hole punch down the side of the pages on the left hand side and loose tie the pages together, or staple down the left hand side (not recommended if children under 3 will be handling this). Print out one copy and use for the classroom or print out one for each child and have them color the pages. If you do only one book for the classroom, have the children take turns coloring the pages and writing their names on the pages they colored so later when you read the rhyme to the children they can look at the page that they and their friends colored.

Print out the numbers onto white copy paper and have the children color the numbers, they may want to put circle stickers onto the circles on the number or reinforcement labels onto the circles. The dot stickers or reinforcement stickers can be found at Wal-Mart in the office section or any office store. You may wanto to have the children use a (do a dot paint marker) and have them dot the circles on the numbers. There are 12 numbers.
